Kathryn A. Cullen "Gas and Groceries" Scholarship

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who:

  • Are majoring in Creative Writing, English Literature or a related program
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Are single parents or non-traditional students

The selected candidate will demonstrate similar qualities as Kathryn Cullen, who received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English (Creative Writing) in the 1980’s. The recipient of the scholarship should reflect as closely to who she was as a student; very poor, dedicated single parent, and devoted to words. Kathryn was a gifted, active (if not very public) poet and short story author.
