Kathryn Cullen

Kathryn Cullen earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from Minnesota State Mankato while raising five children as a single mother. She was a gifted and active (if not very public) poet and short story author. When she passed away suddenly in December 2018, her children Michael, Curt, Jennifer, Jill and Gretchen began the Kathryn A. Cullen “Gas and Groceries” Scholarship to benefit a student with her unique qualities: a poor, dedicated single parent devoted to words.
