Rein in Sarcoma Jan Maudlin Scholarship

Applicants must:

  • Be current Advanced Practice nursing students
  • Have an above average academic record
  • Have an interest in oncology
  • Have an interest in educating other students and the community
  • Have a commitment to service

Recipients will have the following opportunities:

  • Volunteer/attend Rein In Sarcoma awareness events, including thier annual “Party in the Park” and other events, as able
  • Educational boot camp modules on sarcoma diagnosis and treatment
  • Meet with a sarcoma survivor facilitated by Rein in Sarcoma
  • Sarcoma related education/research project (in partnership with University mentor or Rein In Sarcoma) to educate and raise awareness about sarcoma cancers in the medical community and general public
  • Quarterly scholar meetings
  • Educational sessions for peers focusing on the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal tumors by a sarcoma expert and a survivor
