Eddice B. Barber English Education Scholarship
Applicants must be students who:
- Are undergraduate students who will be in their junior or senior year
- Are English Education majors (Communication Arts and Literature Education)
- Have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 in English courses for their majors
- Will be student-teaching during the upcoming Fall or Spring term
The candidate must submit a letter of no more than two pages discussing (a) his/her academic and extracurricular accomplishments and other relevant qualifications and (b) provide a statement of purpose detailing his/her career aspirations and how the award would facilitate reaching them. The candidate also should include two references who can address the student’s academic qualities.
