Alan R. Rivard Memorial Scholarship

In Alan’s memory, the Alan R. Rivard Memorial Scholarship was established by his family and friends. Each year an honor graduate from Mankato East High School will receive the scholarship in recognition of the student’s academic excellence, completion of college preparatory courses and personal qualifications. The scholarship is to be used for full-time attendance at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Alan Richard Rivard was born in Mankato, March 25, 1963. He graduated from Mankato East High School In 1981. He died October 1, 1983, while serving In the U.S. Army military Intelligence. He had planned to attend Minnesota State Mankato upon completion of his military tour.
