Dr. Donald B. and Burnetta Youel English Scholarship

Applicants must be:

  • a graduating English major who will complete their undergraduate studies in the current spring or upcoming summer semesters
  • a student who has had an outstanding undergraduate career and whose achievements predict an outstanding future career

Successful candidates should have a record of both academic and non-academic accomplishments. The recipient is invited to consider using the award for a life-enriching experience rather than a career-focused activity: travel, a workshop or class exploring some outside subject of special interest, or something that the recipient has always wanted to do.
