Workforce Development Scholarships

Previous recipients of a Workforce Development Scholarship at a Minnesota State community college may now apply for an additional year of $2,500 of funding at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

To be eligible, students must provide proof that they received a Workforce Development Scholarship from a Minnesota State college, graduated from the college with a two-year associate’s degree, and transfer into a corresponding bachelor’s program. Students must enroll and remain enrolled in an eligible workforce development program in one of the following academic disciplines: Health Care, Early Childhood Education, Information Technology, Transportation, Advanced Manufacturing, and Agriculture. Students must maintain 9 credits per term, 2.0 GPA and be a Minnesota resident. Preference for students with financial need but not required.

Workforce Development Scholarships are available in the following academic majors at Minnesota State University, Mankato:
Health Care: Nursing (BSN, RN:BSN), Dental Hygiene, Communication Sciences and Disorcers, Exercise Science, Biology (Biomedical Sciences or Nucleur Medical Technology), FCS (Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, Food Science Technology) Community Health Education, School Health Education, Medical Laboratory Science
Early Childhood Education: Elementary Education
Information Technology: Geographic Information Systems, Computer Application Development, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
Transportation: Aviation, Geographic Information Systems, Civil Engineering
Advanced Manufacturing: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Integrated Engineering, Bell Engineering, Iron Range Engineering, Twin Cities Engineering, Civil Engineering Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering
