Perry and Barbara Wood

Perry Wood was a professor in urban and regional studies from 1976-2010, and he
remains involved with the students and the department today. He has served the University
and the community in many ways throughout his career and retirement. Perry served for
more than twenty years as a planning and economic development practitioner for the city
of Mankato and Blue Earth County. He has been involved with the Southern Minnesota
JOBZ economic development program, the Minnesota State Mankato Campus Master
Plan, the Blue Earth County Strategic Plan and the Urban and Regional Studies Leadership
Council. This award honors students who serve the community.
