Paul Brown and Winifred Mitchell

Dr. Brown received his B.A. in Anthropology in 1970 from California State University,
Northridge and his M.A. (1973) and Ph. D. (1978) in Anthropology at the University of
Colorado at Boulder, Colorado. He completed a post-doc in medical anthropology in
1979-80 at Michigan State University and joined the faculty at Minnesota State University,
Mankato in 1980 where he taught until his retirement in 2012. His specialties are
physical anthropology, paleopathology, forensics, and human evolutionary ecology. Dr.
Winifred Mitchell received her B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado
at Boulder, Colorado. She taught anthropology at Minnesota State Mankato until her
retirement in 2004, when she pursued a theological degree and career in the Episcopal
church. Today Dr. Mitchell leads a church in Pueblo, Colorado.
