Myrl Barnes

Myrl Barnes was a 1962 graduate from Mankato State College, now Minnesota State University, Mankato. He received his degree in education and, after serving in the Army, was a school teacher before becoming a successful business professional. Myrl felt that giving of oneself to protect our country and improve our communities was a vital part of making our world a better place to live. This scholarship is awarded to an ROTC cadet and/or an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Military majoring in the College of Business who has shown a commitment to making a difference both locally and nationally by choosing a career in the Military.
