LeaRae Keyes

LeaRae Keyes, RN, PHN, CCM lived most of her life in Bloomington, Minnesota. After graduating from Minnesota State University – Mankato with a BS in Nursing in 1974 she began her career as a psychiatric nurse at Anoka State Hospital. Her interests then took her to Public Health Nursing in Anoka County. Later she was in sales selling worker’s compensation rehabilitation services to WC insurance companies. In 1989 she opened her own worker’s compensation rehabilitation business. As a means to teach and lead other nurses to venture out on their own she started a second company, Nurse Entrepreneur Network. Seeing a need for encouragement and support for nurse case managers and consultants, LeaRae was instrumental in the creation and leadership of the Minnesota Case Managers Network. Her interest included quilting, watercolor painting, and gardening.

LeaRae has always been interested in supporting nursing students who will become the nurses of the future. The scholarship at Minnesota State University – Mankato is a significant part of this desire to be supportive.
