Jane F. Earley Theatre Endowment

Dr. Jane F. Earley came to Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1969 as Assistant Professor of English and taught in the English department for five years. In 1974, she moved into administration, serving as assistant dean, associate dean and finally Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. In 1977, she became the founding dean of the new College of Arts and Humanities, a post she held until her retirement in 2009. She also served the University for a year as Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Earley is a devoted supporter of the theatre program and has likely missed only a handful of performances in the 50 years since she arrived at Minnesota State Mankato. Scholarships from Dr. Earley’s endowment are awarded to faculty selected students of the theatre program, based on the quality of work completed and the potential of good work to come.
