GEER Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by a grant from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education under the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund.

The purpose of the grant is to provide direct financial support to Education students who experience hardships related to Covid-19, especially students of color, Indigenous persons, persons with disabilities, and lower-income persons.

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate level Minnesota State University, Mankato students who are:

  • Students of color or any under-represented group
  • Pursuing initial licensure or have a declared education major

In selecting candidates for this scholarship, preference will be given to students from populations greatly impacted by COVID-19 including students of color, Indigenous persons, persons with disabilities, and lower-income persons.
