American Indian Languages and Education Scholarship
This scholarship is funded by a grant from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education under the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund.
The purpose of these grant funds is, in part, to increase teacher education in American Indigenous languages to better prepare educators to be supportive and prepared to teach content pertaining to American Indian history and culture.
Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students from Minnesota State University or Normandale Community College who are:
- Pursuing initial licensure or have a declared education major
- Enrolled and completing a course in Dakota or Ojibwe language at Minnesota State Mankato
