Shawn Marie Silkey Memorial Scholarship

Each year an honor graduate from Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, will receive the scholarship in recognition of the student’s academic excellence and personal qualifications. The freshman scholarship is awarded to a student who will be attending Minnesota State University, Mankato as a full-time student. Check with Bethlehem Academy’s Guidance Office for more information.

Shawn Marie Silkey was born in Faribault on June 23, 1965. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1983. Shawn attended Minnesota State University, Mankato majoring in Computer Science. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987. Her successful career as a systems analyst programmer was cut short when she died in an auto accident. The Shawn Marie Silkey Memorial Scholarship was established by her family and friends.
